Spencerport FD Parade 2019

by Maria on June 8th, 2019

This weekend is the trifecta of marching band events: Spencerport on Thursday, York on Friday and Bergen on Saturday. Once again, we are lucky because the weather forecast is warm and sunny for all three days. Tonight we marched with our friends in the Clifton FD.

Kelley's Heroes has always been a family-centered organization. We welcomed Emma as a new flute/piccolo player. Emma is the daughter of Sue, one of our trombone players, and sister of Sarah, one of our other flute players. Previously, Emma has marched with us as a banner carrier. Pictured below is Emma, Sarah and their friend, Jonah, our new snare drummer.
After the parade we played a couple of songs in the beer tend. We also played Sing, Sing, Sing with the Hilton Generations Band and The Stripper, Gonna Fly Now,  and Land of 1000 Dances with the Mark Time Marchers.

We had Emma and Sarah on flute; Melody, Kelly and Kim on clarinet; Margaret and Mike H. on alto sax; Doug on trumpet; Art on trombone; Maria on sousaphone; Theresa on bells; Jonah and Scott M. on snare drum; Andy on bass drum.

Our next event is the York FD Parade tomorrow evening. See you there!
