Cal-Mum Youth Baseball Parade 2019

by Maria on June 6th, 2019

It was a cool, cloudy day, but that did not dampen the enthusiasm of Youth Baseball team members. They have been practicing for a couple of weeks, and they were excited to march in the parade and play their season starting games.

This is a very short parade, but we do stay for the opening ceremony and play The Star-Spangled Banner. After the ceremony, we played a few more songs for fun.

Tara forgot her bag with her lyre and music. Fortunately, even though Margaret was playing alto sax today, she had her flute lyre and music with her. Problem solved.

Angelina and Mary carried the banner. Bob K. carried the American flag and Peyton carried the rifle to guard it. For woodwinds, we had Tara and Tracey on flute, Kelly on clarinet, and Margaret on alto sax. For brass, we had Arnie and Bob on trumpet, Scott M. on trombone and Maria on sousaphone. For percussion we had Don S. on snare drum and Andy on bass drum.

Our next event is the Rochester Lilac Parade next Saturday. See you there!
