Spencerport FD Parade 2016

by Maria on June 16th, 2016

The Spencerport Parade always draws a good crowd. It was a chilly breezy evening, but that didn't stop people from coming out to watch the parade. We marched with our friends in the Clifton Fire Department.

TJ and Kayla carried the banner. Their mother, Kristen, played cymbals and their father, Tom, played trumpet. Theresa wanted to march, but her car was in the shop. She sent an email asking if anyone could give her a ride. Band members came to the rescue. Don S. picked her up from work and Irene took her home.

We were loaded with low brass. It was nice to see Anya and Art; neither one of them have been able to make many events this year. Scott M. usually plays drums, but tonight he was on trombone. The section was completed with Pully on valve trombone and Josh on tuba. Afterward at the beer tent, Josh alternated playing with Kelley's Heroes and Prime Time Brass.

Our next event is the Bergen Park Festival on Saturday, June 11. See you there!
