Caledonia-Mumford Hometown Holidays Parade and Concert 2015

by Maria on January 1st, 2016

We just finished one of the warmest Novembers on record for Rochester, NY, and the warm weather is continuing into December. Normally, it's cold the first weekend of December, so we go inside the fire hall after the parade to play our concert. This year, it was almost 50 degrees, so we performed our concert outdoors in front of the fire hall.

Tom J. and Kristen's children, TJ and Kayla, carried the banner. Steve played bass drum along with Andy. Allie marched the parade with the CMCS Cheerleaders, but she played her clarinet in the concert with us.

During the regular season, Bob plays trumpet; but for the Christmas parades, he plays F horn parts on his mellophone. This adds another layer of sound that we usually don't have.

Our canine unit was back! Tara's son, Peyton, marched behind us with Attila and Petunia dressed in matching Christmas sweaters.

This parade marks the end of the 2015 marching season. Kelley's Heroes will be celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2016! We look forward to sharing this milestone event with all of our friends in western New York. The new season starts in March with the St. Patrick's Day Parades in Rochester and Buffalo.
