Chil-E Festival 2015

by Maria on July 7th, 2015

It was a beautiful day for a parade. The 4th of July parade is frequently unbearably hot, but today was a breezy 75 degrees. After one of the rainiest Junes ever, the past two dry sunny days were appreciated and enjoyed more than usual.

Karen L. celebrated a birthday yesterday. As she approached the staging area, Pully broke into a chorus of Happy Birthday on his trumpet.

In the photo above, Pully, Doug, Steph, Tom P. and Josh P. show their patriotic spirit. Thanks to Bob M. for a great picture.

We welcomed Allie, a new member on clarinet. If you would like to join Kelley's Heroes Band or Color Guard, click above on Join, fill in the boxes, and click on Submit. Someone will get back to you shortly. You might also want to click on the link for Frequently Asked Questions to read more about the responsibilities and benefits of becoming a member.

Maria played sousaphone. Theresa made it to the parade just in time. She was almost to the staging area as we stepped off on the street, and she jumped right in line.

Our next event is the Rush FD Parade on Friday. See you there!
