Spencerport FD Parade 2015

by Maria on June 14th, 2015

Just one day ago, heavy rain blew through our area and a small tornado touched down near Farmington. Today, though, was perfect for outdoor activities. On our war to Spencerport, we passed many people walking and riding their bikes. For those of us who enjoy playing in a marching band, it was a perfect night for a parade.

We marched with our friends and neighbors in the Clifton FD. TJ and Kayla carried the banner. Art was wearing the current uniform shirt (see the blog for the York FD Parade). Steve played bass drum, and Elise was the only flute.

Josh R. was reading his music from his smart phone. After his music got wet in the Mendon FD Parade, he had taken apart his folio so that his music could dry. Unfortunately, the music was left behind at home while Josh and his instrument were in Spencerport. Ironically, the last time this happened to Josh, it was also for the Spencerport Parade.

We had fun playing in the beer tent. Josh and Andy played along with Prime Time Brass. Irene was playing with the Hilton Generations Band along with many old friends: Doug, Bob, Sean, and Scott.

Our next event is the Bergen Park Festival this Saturday, June 13. We'll be marching in the parade and playing a concert afterward. Come and see us!
