Brighton Community Homecoming 2013

by Maria on September 28th, 2013

The Brighton community certainly knows how to throw a party for homecoming. They have a parade and invite everyone! The perfect weather encouraged thousands of people to line the parade route to cheer and support school and community groups.

This is a fun parade to do. Kelley's Heroes starts out near the front of the parade. Then we step out at the corner of Elmwood and Monroe and play while the rest of the parade marches by us. When the last unit goes by, we step back into the parade and  bring up the rear until we reach the football field.

The dedication of Kelley's Heroes members is amazing. For this parade, Karen R. came from Batavia, Mike W. came from Newark, and Don H. came from Springwater.

Our next parade is the Roberts Wesleyan Homecoming Parade tomorrow morning. We might as well just sleep in our uniforms!
